What is makes a good latrinalia photo?

1. From bathroom wall murals to scrawled messages on the wall if it’s funny or profound even political commentary on the state of the country is good content for your image. It can be embedded in the wall as tile art is. If you shoot a mural that looks commissioned (payed for) do your best to get a name of the artist to credit.

2. We have plenty of tags and there’s much more interesting art work and social commentary out there.

Getting the best image possible:

1. At the very least use a 3 mega pixel camera 2 mega pixel can work but we prefer a higher resolution to get the best quality for your image. Cell phone images will not work for this process.

2. Check your image for clarity and focus as sometimes I found it’s difficult to return to get additional photographs.

3. If you must use a flash get an angle to avoid hot spots, but be sure your image is legible.

4. Always keep in mind creative aspects if needed or possible include an ambient photo or surroundings in your bathroom selection as it gives your body of work a foundation and sense of place.

Uploading your images:

1. Be sure your image is a JPEG minimum of 400 pixels wide. And no larger than 5MB’s. Follow the directions to upload it’s not as difficult as it appears. Or you can email the images to mark@itsallinthehead.com

2. Fill in the required fields as they apply: Your email or website is optional but we would like to contact you if your image is selected for the book. It will not be used for any other purpose.

3. Also, name on image file should have Name of the place where the restroom is located (bar, library etc.), city and country, Date, Time, whether it’s women’, men’s or unisex restroom, example: Casbah Café, Bangalore, India 1.28.07, 12:15am, Unisex

4. Please fill in Comments field for translation or description of image so the rest of latrinalians the can understand. Also, (Please be patient, uploading your image may take a few seconds.)
